Shopping, Blogs and Twonk

After skiing we headed into Mayrhofen and the pupils picked up their gift and souvenirs.  There is now a national shortage in Austria of chocolate, miniature snow globes and fridge magnets... (sorry - no schnaps!!)

Back to the hotel for dinner and a surprise birthday cake for Lucy who celebrates her 13th birthday today ;-)... Austrians don't do candles - they do pyrotechnics!!!

The last order of the day after the blog report was to award the twonk of the day.. Twonk for Wednesday is deservedly assigned to Sam Pilley for his unconventional ski lift dismounting!!!

I will finish off the blogging today with blogs and messages home from the pupils....

hey everyone,  I am having loads of fun here, skiing is awesome. The hotel food is really nice, at dinner we get a 3 course meal. I went on one of the blue slopes today and felt really proud, I didn’t fall over; I did almost knock Alex over though…

hi everyone!!!!  I hope I'm not making you jealous by saying that this is the BEST HOLIDAY EVER!!! The skiing, food, hotel, scenery is absolutely amazing the weather has been mixed the last 3 days, Monday it was misty, Tuesday really windy and today sunny!!!! I've loved every second, thanks soooo much for this holiday I'll never forget it! I've improved loads at skiing still falling over but hey. I think I'm missing Flanders  because I keep on calling everyone Harvey!!!!!! I've taken loads of great pictures, can't wait to show you!

Hey mum & dad,  How are you? It's been great here! Lots of snow for lots of skiing. Past few days have been fun, I keep on falling over though! My room is great and my room mates are really nice. Missing you all lots!!!!! Is yash behaving? I bet he likes having my ipad all to himself! Just going up the mountain is exciting. In the past few days we have been bowling and shopping, tomorrow we will be going swimming. The bus journey was fine, still got lots of food though. Can't wait to see you all!!!!

Hi mum,dad and Monty! thanks for commenting dad, it's great to hear form you! Went on my first blue slope today! It was quite steep, but I braved it! We also went on the chair lift! Was a little bit scary at first but after a while I began to enjoy it! My favourite part of skiing is the cable carts because I love e view from up high! ( but it's horrible when it stops in the air!) had to have a break form skiing this morning due to a very painful ankle but it's getting better! Love you all loads and I'm counting down the days to when I'm seeing you all again! Love from Mia xx

Hiiii thank you for commenting, that was really nice. You'll never guess what happened to me today - whilst I was skiing - I lost my ski whilst I was on the chair lift! I was really high up in the air and it just dropped off! Teachers were suggesting that it was broken, but it turned out that I had accidentally put on someone else's boot! Also today I'm starting to learn how to turn with my skis parallel, which is really hard. We were on a really fast slope; I'm so glad that I am finally off the nursery slopes! Looking forward to seeing you again, byeeee.
